This vintage yielded low tannin levels in the juice, making this wine table friendly and very drinkable in its youth. At first whiff the nose of the wine finds the aroma of rich caramel. The essences of plum and red cherries appear on the palate with just a hint of oak framing the fruit. To round out its complexity the wine finishes with just a hint of black licorice. A definite, buy and drink now wine.

Zenato deep ruby-red in color, this wine shows intense aromas of blackberries and black currents underscored by aromas of spice pepper, and a hunt of leather. On the palate, it is smooth and viscous with well-balanced acidity and alcohol. Pair this wine with risotto, Lyonnaise sauces, beef negimaki, and rabbit ragu.

Zepaltas now for a bit of weirdness…We have been intrigued by "vin jaune" (wines that are not topped off during cask aging) wines from the Jura region of France. We have also been experimenting with more skin contact on white wines to see what we can get in the way of more complexity. We like to think we are building a tradition with our winemaking, but we always leave a little room for messing around with experiments.

The bouquet displays elegant notes of strawberries, rose petals, and grapefruit, coupled with the flavors of bing cherries, pomegranate, and wet stone-like minerality. Crisp and bright in its acidity, it also showcases subtle tannins, and intoxicating complexity. A long, crisp finish, and a vibrant elegance makes this the perfect summertime.

The Kimsey Vineyard Roussanne is subtle, yet lively. Figs, green tea, and lime zest entices you to explore further. Flavors of honey, stone, and apricot reward the palate. The oak is very subtle while the finish is long and leaves you craving more.

Full bodied on the palate, with deep stone fruit, tropical notes, and Asian pear. Finished by balanced acidity, this wine dances on your palate for days.

Zocker rich and round but with great acid structure, this wine is steely and has good minerality. It has a bit of an earthy characteristic, a note of white pepper, and flavors of ripe melon and fruit cocktail.
