At Niepoort we believe that the colour of the Port should be inspired by the "ruby stone". Niepoort Ruby is fresh, young and fruity. An expressive Port with great character. Ruby keeps well for several years, although the wine will not improve with age. No decanting is necessary since the wine contains no sediment. The wine comes from low yielding old vineyards in the Cima Corgo Region of the Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in Lagares, prior to ageing in large wooden vats at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia and bottled with an average age of 3 years. Dark red in colour, with a fresh vibrant aroma of dark fruits which follows through on the palate along with a mineral character, a youthful wine with good extract and great balance, offering superb "drinkability".

To produce a Port Wine with a fine and balanced flavour, Niepoort Tawny ages in oak casks for 3,5 years. Freshness, lightness and balance are the key elements of this wine. A Port easy to drink on any occasion. Tawny has a shiny bright colour and soft and sweet tannins. Tawny Port keeps well for several years, although the wine will not improve with age. It contains no sediment and does not neet to be decanted. Niepoort tawny, with an average age of three and a half years, originates from low yielding vineyards in the Cima corgo region of the Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in lagares, prior to ageing in small old oak casks at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. Brick red/tawny in colour, with delicate nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits. On the palate, very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with a long spirity finish. A versatile wine, which goes well with chocolate desserts and can also be served slightly chilled as an aperitif or with pâtés or fois gras.

It has a distinct light gold in color and it hits the tongue first with some sweetness and a more pronounced herbal flavor, before then fading into a lighter bitter finish. Of course, the true test of any dry vermouth is in a martini… and I’m happy to report the new Noilly Prat shines with either gin or vodka. Check it out!

Embodying much of its white wine ancestry, this sweet aperitif is spicy to the nose yet full and fruity on the palate. Aromatic herbs such as cinnamon and cloves contribute to its bitter-sweet character.

Vividly floral, with honeysuckle aromatics that give way to bright, bold and juicy tangerine, grapefruit, peach and passion fruit flavors on a smooth body. Ends with a refreshing finish. Viognier, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley opens with a faint black cherry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, friendly and easy going. The flavor profile is a gentle oak infused black cherry with notes of mild red currant. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its fairly moderate tannins linger slightly. I would pair this very food friendly wine with brown rice paella with shrimp.

Oak Hills Winery this sweet blackberry wine was made with local blackberries, and has a nice acidity which makes it perfect wine for all occasions.

Opus One harvest began on September 23 and concluded on October 23. Aromas of blackberry, rose petals, chocolate and espresso accentuate fruity and earthy nuances. Round velvety tannins enrobe a silky texture with a touch of minerality. The flavors of dark fruit are enhanced by the well integrated acidity. The acidity and tannin structure promise a very long life ahead.

Orin Swift aromas of wild berry, floral scents, and caramelized oak are present immediately. Rich and layered, the wine has a commanding entry that leads to notes of blackberry, plum, mocha and spice.
